As part of a rash of conspiracy theories about the end of the world, some are suggesting that Comet Elenin was connected somehow to the recent earthquake in Japan and will cause major destruction to our planet in the future. Astronomer David Morrison, writing for the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, shares his analysis of these claims.
