           Axisymmetric Simulations of Conical Winds

Conical winds appear at the disk-magnetosphere boundary during periods of enhanced accretion or when inward transport of matter in the disk is faster than outward diffusion of the magnetic flux.

Typical flow in conical winds. The background shows log of matter flux (red - maximum,
blue - minimum). Lines are poloidal magnetic field lines, arrows show velocity vectors.

Global 3D Simulations of Conical Winds

Exploratory 3D simulations show that conical winds form and they are approximately symmetrical about the rotational axis.
