My grandfather has always been a model for me and for my brother.
He was reliable, perseverant and ambitious. When he was young he was a silvic engineer.
Together with my grandmother he inspired our love for nature, for physics
and for mathematics.
When we were little children
he used to read us from the dictionary(like in the picture) or from a book called
"Thinking Physics"; in a short time we were presenting to our
neighbours the centripetal force.
He taught me and my brother how to work hard, while giving us a strong motivation
for it: if you want to be good you have to work hard; in all great discoveries
only one precent is based on inspiration, the other 99% are based on work.
I miss him a lot and I would give anything to see him again at least for
a few minutes.
