My brother's name is Mihai. We were together since I was born untill he left for Germany to work at the Albert Einstein Institute and finish his undergratude studies at Frei Universitat, Berlin. Now he is doing his Ph. D. at Caltech. We are a team. From him I learnt almost everything I know starting from doing homework to writing papers and articles. In life, we followed similar path. We graduated from the same highschool, got admitted to the same universities in Romania, and then left home. We are both physicists and we are both crazy :). Through Mihai I met Prof. Edward Seidel and Ed helped me get into the University of Illinois and supported me during my whole undergraduate period. Now Mihai and I talk on the phone for hours and he and my mother will always be my best friends. When I look back I can still see two children swimming all day in summer, eating water mellon and discussing the future of the planet for the next 2000 years... and I still cannot imagine a world without Mihai. |
